This proposal aims to complete the urban block, book-ending the existing Academy Square apartment blocks with a high quality well designed building that creates a new reference point for the town. The proposal will contain 70 apartments over 9 stories, with ground floor mixed use commercial accommodation that could contain a variety of uses including local retail, healthcare and pharmacy.
This site is one of the most visible sites in Navan at a key landmark junction on the main approach to the town. It marks the beginning of the urban form of the town. It has remained vacant for the last number of years, the final piece of the existing apartment and shop complex unfinished and abandoned with the economic downturn in 2008.
